Marlise Riffel “The Winter Solstice in Wiccan Traditions”

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere. It’s a time when all earth’s creatures burrow in and take advantage of the dark to rest, to reflect, and to build strength for the eventual return of light. In the Wiccan tradition, this holiday marks the beginning of the new year. We will honor the dark and celebrate the return of light together.
